Once we are highly recommended RocketDock for OS X dock setting among those plenty of options. But this time, we have another XWindows Dock right now in the market. Actually, this is the one I haven't heard of before. But after XWindows trial, I really fall in its fantastic performance.
XWindows Dock is currently the newest class application launcher and desktop organizer especially for Windows Vista and XP system. Years of development and research on it devoted, the developing team is making XWindows Dock a multifunctional playmate rather than just an icon tool. With observation of many other dock programs on the market, XWindows added all functions you experienced and even dreamed, while, your dock would offer!
For specific features, Amazing icons are added to dock with favorite applications, folders, stacks and galleries. Icon size, space, number, reflection, shadow, replacing activities, and much more can be precisely tweaked in any time you want to configure. Still, 2D or 3D views are supportive. In the meantime, boring Windows Taskbar would be thrown away as a result of this advanced minimization. Scale and Genie, two effects, will customize speed of minimization or maximization. Maximum speed will be reset for your optical choice. XWindows Dock meanwhile makes the customize stack anytime available. Fan, grid, list and unique gallery stacks are being well performed upon your customization. Much conveniently, a monitor folder would be added as a stack. Every time when files added, removed, modified or renamed at this folder you'll see that.
Indeed, we feel a little regretful; XWindows doesn't support drag and drop function. And its location could not be changed either. If time was given, we would soon see drag-and-drop function and more repositioning options. Presently, I would be very agreeable to enjoy such a fantastic dock clone with so many graphical subtleties such as reflections, transparencies, shadow and blur in a single package.
